Where’s the best place for listeners to connect with you?: Instagram: cats_ww_adventure

What’s one habit you do almost daily?: Track what I eat and drink lots of water

What’s one of your normal routines?: Making a skinny frapp for breakfast

How long did it take for the above routine to stick? : A month or so

Describe your weight loss journey.: Oy. It’s been a gigantic roller coaster. I started strong by removing sugar and lost about 70 pounds just from that. Then I plateaued and gained back about 45 pounds slowly over three years. I’m still struggling with the mindset part because I tend to get into a funk when I think I can’t have certain foods in my daily life.

What’s a skill you developed as a result of working through your weight loss journey?: I weigh and measure everything I eat if possible and I pay s lot more attention to portion sizes.

What has that skill led to outside of weight loss?: I’m just more aware when it comes to how much food a serving actually is.

What have you learned about yourself over the last year or so?: Even if I’m not where I want to be, I’m not giving up on myself and I’ll continue to fight. My original goal of losing a certain amount of weight has changed... I now just want to feel good about myself and like what I see when I look in the mirror.

What advice would you give to someone working through their weight loss journey?:Don’t give up even when it’s hard. You’ll wish you had kept fighting and will likely restart again down the road, just stick to it even if you don’t feel successful.

What resources would you recommend listeners check out?: Find accounts on social media that inspire you and give you motivation. I also use Pinterest to help me find new healthy recipes to make.

What are you working on now?: I’m focusing on staying in control after dinner and with exercising more and not losing my mind with my kids being stuck at home and inside. COVID has been hard mentally AND physically with my family and emotionally I’m drained which leads to eating foods that are not healthy. So I’m trying to not eat as an escape.
