YLF 126: Getting to know Chad

Getting to know you…

Name: Chad Williams

Where’s the best place for listeners to connect with you?: Instagram - chadwillia1

What are your interests outside of fitness? : I have a 16 year old daughter, and a 15 year old son. Both play travel soccer so we spend a lot of time at their games but I love watching them play.

Which types of activity, movement and/or workouts do you currently do?: I go to a gym 2-3 times a week for group workout classes and I run on my own. I try to run about one 5K a month.

Which eating style and/or types of foods do you currently eat?: I am pretty regimented with my eat. Smoothie/shake for breakfast, prepared meals for lunch (project lean nation), and dinner is usually protein/carb/veggie. My snack in between is protein shakes or peanut butter sandwich.

What advice would/do you give your current self around eating and exercise?: I struggle sometimes with wanting to be further ahead in my journey; bigger, faster, stronger but I have to be better at appreciating where I am, and what I've accomplished. Appreciate where you are and continue to work and improve and be better than you were yesterday.

What advice would you give someone that's starting/restarting around eating and exercise?: This goes well with previous question. Take steps toward your health and fitness goals and then just work to keep getting better and more consistent. Appreciate where you are in your journey and work to be better than you were yesterday.

What development resources do you recommend? "Doesn't have to be fitness related.": I am big on motivational videos or podcasts. I love listening to Tony Robbins, Les Brown, Eric Thomas. I look for video or audio either on YouTube or Spotify and use that to start my day or I will turn to it when I need a boost, mentally.
