Putting The Scale in Its Place
This is the punchline to the cruel joke that is weight loss. We’re taught that hitting a number by itself will make us happy. ⠀⠀
Talk to enough people that have lost the weight and you’ll find out that many aren’t happy. How do they deal with this? Try to lose more weight of course. ⠀⠀
The flip side is where I hope you are. Focusing on the things within your control. How you eat, exercise and manage your day to day. If you do that the scale will take care of itself. Work on the relationship with yourself now. Getting your internal dialogue squared away now means not only will you be happier when losing the weight but more importantly, you’ll be in a better headspace much sooner.
