Reclaiming Your Reflection

Hey there. There’s something I want to ask you. What have you missed out on because of how you feel about your body? Maybe you skipped a photo. Maybe you avoided a vacation meal or stressed about workouts while you were supposed to be relaxing. If you’ve been stuck in your head because of body image, I want you to know you’re not alone.

You didn’t come into the world disliking your body. Somewhere along the way, that belief was taught to you. Whether it came from ads, diet programs, family members, or comments from friends, those messages started stacking up. Over time, they shaped the way you see yourself in the mirror and in your life. But if those thoughts were taught, they can be unlearned. And that’s where the inside/out work begins.

You can learn to look at your body and see it for everything it is. Your body is made up of your unique shapes, angles, and features. These are not flaws. They’re you. And you deserve to see them with appreciation instead of shame. I’m sorry the industry has made you feel less than. I’m sorry if people in your life have repeated those harmful messages. And I’m sorry for all the times you’ve torn yourself down in your own head. But you don’t have to keep living that way.

This is why I do the work I do. Because even after years of dieting, exercise plans, or even medical interventions, so many people still don’t feel at peace in their own bodies. The real change doesn’t start with food or fitness. It starts with mindset. With how you view yourself. With building a relationship with your body and your preferences.

You can build an eating plan that starts with what you actually like. Yes, even if that means cookies or muffins or cheese right now. When foods aren’t off limits, they eventually lose their power. That’s when you start making balanced choices naturally. Not from guilt or pressure, but from peace.

This isn’t about moderation. It’s about building a life that fits you. One where food, movement, and mindset all align. You’re going to be in your body for decades. Let’s work on helping you actually enjoy it.

If this resonated with you, I’d love to help you start building your own preference-based plan. You can learn more about the YLF programs here. Let’s make this the beginning of something sustainable.
