Getting to know you…

Name: Roxanna Meissner

Where’s the best place for listeners to connect with you?: On Instagram @firebornphoenix

What are your interests outside of fitness? : Crafting coffee & tea, baking, cooking, foreign languages, pin-up & rockabilly style, makeup, meditation, music (metal, alternative, hip-hop, country, r&b, 50s, foreign...you name it. A lot of it is 90s and early 00s.), movies, t.v. shows, Harry Potter, gardening, drawing, and I'm trying to get into reading books again.

Which types of activity, movement and/or workouts do you currently do?: I have an active job working at Starbucks. I find ways to walk more throughout my day by parking further from a store, walk after eating, or matching the beat of the music I'm listening to when I'm doing chores around the house. There's also stretching and cycling on my stationary bike when I'm not letting it collect dust. Honestly, I'm getting increasingly distracted the closer our out of state move is.

Which eating style and/or types of foods do you currently eat?: Addition over subtraction. This morning was Krave cereal and a banana...tonight could be baked chicken and cauliflower fried rice. I could have a whole week of just meat and veggies, but the produce must stay.

What advice would/do you give your current self around eating and exercise?: I caught myself not being present lately, so I would tell myself to jump back on #YLF365, keep balance in my life, and there's a lot I can accomplish when I'm not frittering time away.

What advice would you give someone that's starting/restarting around eating and exercise?: Check out your podcasts for one, and see if they maybe want to start
with #YLF365. Don't be too hard on yourself, but be honest with your why's.

What development resources do you recommend? "Doesn't have to be fitness related.": My #1 resource for development at the moment is all things Your Level Fitness. My mind flies like shrapnel in so many different ways at times, but the ways you deliver your message helps bring things back into focus.

I also use the Headspace app for meditations and sleep. I'd also recommend The Law of Attraction book by: Michael J. Loser. It's not like some of the other books out there that just talk about the law of attraction... It teaches you how to actually apply it to your own life.
