Hey there. One of the biggest shifts I’ve made in how I approach goals, both for myself and for the people I work with, is this…I no longer aim to barely meet goals. I set them up so I can exceed them.
Now I know that sounds different from what most people are used to. We’re told all the time that goals should be outside our comfort zone. That they should challenge us. And while I do think there’s a time and place for that, it’s not in your day-to-day or weekly goals. It’s not when you’re building momentum.
The most effective way I’ve found to stay consistent is to set goals that feel doable. I want to look at my day and think, I’ve got this. Not “I hope I can squeeze this in” or “this might be too much.” Your daily actions should be set up in a way that not only allows you to follow through, but makes it likely that you’ll go beyond what you planned.
That’s where confidence starts to build. You’re showing up and stacking wins. And as you continue to execute those minimum daily actions, your comfort zone grows. Eventually, you’ll be doing things you never imagined, but you’ll feel at ease doing them. The foundation is still the same… trust yourself, follow through, keep showing up.
The YLF Framework helps you tie your minimum daily actions to your weekly outcomes. It’s a structure that brings clarity to your goals and gives you something you can consistently work through. When you stop trying to push to the max every day and instead focus on consistent follow-through, things change. You stop feeling like you’re falling short. You stop chasing motivation.
This doesn’t mean you’re avoiding hard work. It means you’re being strategic. It means you’re learning how to build success from the inside/out. You’re choosing goals that work for you. You’re learning to trust your process.
If you’ve been trying to stretch your way to success and it’s left you feeling burnt out, maybe it’s time to do things differently. Start where you are. Build from what you know you can do. And let that progress compound over time.
If you’re ready to take that step, I’d love to help. Join one of the YLF programs and let’s build something sustainable together.
