Hey there. Let’s talk about what happens when you feel like you’ve slipped up or completely fallen off the ship. This is the most common message I get in my DMs. “I’m failing.” “I’ve slipped up.” “I’m off track and need to do better.” Sound familiar?
Here’s what I want you to know… you’re doing better than you think.
This journey is all about choices. And no matter how your last day, week, or month has gone, you haven’t undone your progress. You’re one choice away from getting back into your rhythm. That next choice might not be perfect, but it can still be better.
When you look at this process through the lens of choice, it becomes empowering. Not every decision needs to be a 10 out of 10. In fact, a series of consistent sevens and eights will take you farther than trying to chase perfection.
Sometimes you just haven’t felt like doing the thing. Life gets busy. Emotions get heavy. Or maybe you’re just tired of being “fitbo” all the time. That’s normal. But once you recognize that your choices are still in your control, you can take the next step forward. Even if it’s small.
For me, that next step is often something like eating a piece of fruit with some water. Not because I’m hungry, but because I want to shift back into the habit of eating nutritious food. It might be sweet baby peppers or a banana. That little action reminds me I’m still in control.
Whatever you do, do not reinforce a rough patch by jumping on the scale. That number won’t help you get back on track. It will likely just frustrate you more and make you feel like you failed… which you haven’t.
So here’s my question for you. What’s your next choice? That’s all I want to know. Send me a message and tell me. It could be a Diet Coke and Greek yogurt. It could be going for a short walk. Whatever it is, just let me know.
