Hey there. One of the biggest shifts in my own health and mindset came when I stopped trying to prove that I was good enough and started believing that I already was. That shift changed everything. It’s a huge part of the inside/out approach I share through Your Level Fitness. And it starts with something simple but powerful. You decide who you are first.
For a long time, I thought I had to take enough action to become the kind of person I wanted to be. I thought I had to check the boxes, follow the plan, get the results, and then finally I would believe I was worthy. But no matter how much I did, it never felt like enough. I was always chasing. Always pushing. Always hoping that the next thing would finally make me feel like I belonged.
That’s what a lot of us are doing. We believe we have to earn the right to feel confident. But what if you didn’t have to wait? What if you started by deciding that you already are the kind of person who follows through? The kind of person who is worthy? The kind of person who belongs?
That’s the foundation of this approach. You make the decision. You choose your identity. And then you take action that reinforces it.
Yes, the action still matters. But now it’s coming from a place of belief instead of fear. And that changes everything. Because when you stop acting out of fear of not being enough, you start acting with clarity. You start being honest with yourself in a kind and supportive way. You stop feeling like an imposter and start living like someone who already knows who they are.
I’m not saying this is easy. If you’ve spent years tying your worth to external things like your weight, your appearance, your job, your relationships… it takes time to shift that. But it’s possible. And the change starts with one decision. Who do you want to be?
You’re already telling yourself stories about who you are. You’re already reinforcing those stories with your actions. So let’s make the story one that supports you instead of tears you down.
This is how you break out of the mental prison. This is how you stop starting over.
Let’s build it together from the inside/out.
If you’re ready to build a plan that supports your identity and helps you follow through in a sustainable way, I’d love for you to join one of the YLF programs.
