Consistency and Follow-Through

Hey there. I talk a lot about consistency because I know how easy it is to feel like you’re not “that kind of person.” The kind who follows through. The kind who shows up. The kind who sticks to a plan with eating or exercise. But here’s the truth… you already are consistent.

You’re consistent with checking your phone, making your coffee, brushing your teeth. You already have patterns that repeat daily. What we’re doing now is applying that same ability to your health and fitness goals. That’s where the “Always & Forever” mindset comes in. This is the second piece of the series… consistent always and forever.

You don’t need to become someone new. You just need to start recognizing where you’re already showing up, and build from there. A lot of people tell themselves they can’t get it together. But I don’t think that’s true. I think most people can get it together in the ways they’re willing and able. That’s where your power is.

I’ve built the YLF process around this idea. Start with your preferences. Start with what you’re able and willing to do. From there, you develop real momentum. You don’t need to overhaul your life in one move. You just need to take action, consistently, from where you are. And if you’re reading or listening to this a few weeks into the journey, you’re already doing it.

You might still hear that voice in your head trying to say you’re not consistent. But I want you to interrupt that script. Replace it with a decision. Decide that you are consistent. Say it. Say it again. Keep saying it until your actions catch up to it. That’s the point of “Consistent AF.” You already are consistent. You’ve been consistent. You just haven’t applied it to this area yet.
