Hey there. For a long time, I lived in a way that many people do. I looked outside of myself for fulfillment, approval, and purpose. I thought if I could just reach a certain milestone or get something that someone else had, I’d finally feel okay. But the truth is, that way of living is exhausting.
What I’ve learned is that everything changes when you choose to live from the inside out. It’s not something you stumble into by accident. It’s a choice. You choose to accept yourself, appreciate who you are, and embrace every part of your story…past, present, and future. When you do that, you stop chasing and start building.
We all look around and feel like we’re behind sometimes. Social media makes it even worse. You see people achieving things and you wonder why you’re not there yet. But the reality is that you’re not behind. Your path is different. Your story has its own pace. Your life is a unique recipe made up of experiences, strengths, setbacks, and timing.
What’s wild is that while you’re looking at someone else and wishing you were where they are, there’s someone out there looking at your life and thinking you’ve got it all together. And often, the thing they admire is something you take for granted. Something you just do without even thinking.
That’s why it’s so important to connect with yourself. It helps you see the full picture. The good, the messy, the powerful blend that makes you... you.
When comparison sneaks in, which it will, that’s a great time to pause and reflect. Journaling helps me with that. Sometimes I’ll write a few quick sentences about what I’m grateful for. Not a long list, just a few thoughts to bring me back to the present. Gratitude might be a cliché, but it works.
We’ve gotten used to chasing things because it’s what we see everywhere. But just because it’s common doesn’t mean it’s helpful. You don’t have to keep following that pattern. You can pull yourself out of it. You can slow down, take a breath, and shift your focus inward.
Living from the inside out gives you peace. It helps you navigate everything, both online and offline. And it allows you to move at a pace that actually works for you.
If you’re ready to build a more connected, purposeful life at your own pace, I’d love to have you join The YLF Experience. Let’s work on this together.
