Your Plan Doesn’t Need to Be Trendy

Hey there. There’s a lot of noise out there when it comes to weight loss. Everyone has their preferred method, their go-to meal plan, their magic formula. But here’s the truth that gets lost in all the noise… your plan is the best plan. If it fits your preferences, works with your lifestyle, and gets you results over time, then it’s the right one for you.

I know I talk about tracking, daily actions, and making subtle adjustments over time. But what I really want you to take away is this… everything works if you can stick to it. Keto, calorie counting, intermittent fasting, Weight Watchers, intuitive eating, low carb, high carb. It all comes down to consistency and ownership.

I’ve seen people drop massive amounts of weight by following their own structure. One guy I know lost over 100 pounds in a year by tracking consistently and being super dialed in. That’s not most people though. Most people will lose at an average of one to two pounds per week and have fluctuations up and down, which is totally normal.

What frustrates me is when someone thinks their plan is broken just because they hit a bump or the scale spikes for a few days. If you’re happy with your food, your workouts, and your day-to-day life, then you’re doing just fine. That’s the stuff that matters. Don’t compare your results to others. And definitely don’t assume someone else’s plan is better just because they’re posting about it online.

I’m not anti-keto or anti-fasting. I just want you to know that carbs aren’t evil and you can still lose weight while eating them. The same goes for any eating pattern. Just make sure you’re eating in a way that fuels your performance, gives you energy, and allows you to stay consistent long-term.

You’ve got to think beyond just weight loss. There’s life after the diet. Eventually you’ll be maintaining, and your plan still needs to fit. If you’re following something now that restricts everything you enjoy, that’s going to be tough later. So build a plan you can live with. One that adjusts with you over time.

If what you’re doing is working, stick with it. If it stops working, adjust. Just keep moving forward.
