Why You Do What You Do (And How to Take Control)

Hey there. Have you ever stopped to ask yourself why you do the things you do? Not just in health and fitness, but in every area of your life? It’s a simple but powerful question, and if you can explore it without judgment, you’ll open the door to real personal growth.

We all follow routines and habits. Some we enjoy, some we tolerate, and some we barely even notice. But how often do we take the time to understand why we do them? If you can step back and observe your actions without labeling them as “good” or “bad,” you’ll start to see patterns, blind spots, and gaps. And when you know the real reasons behind your choices, you can make changes that align with who you truly are—not what the world tells you to be.

Are You Living for Yourself or for Someone Else?

From the moment we wake up, we’re bombarded with marketing messages. Companies, brands, and influencers are all competing for our attention, convincing us that we need their products or services to be happy, successful, or fit. If you’re not fully connected with yourself, it’s easy to believe them.

Think about it: How many times have you chased a goal just because it seemed like the right thing to do? Maybe you followed a diet trend, bought into a fitness program, or pursued a career path because it made sense on paper, only to realize later that it wasn’t truly what you wanted. This happens all the time, and it’s no accident. The world is set up to push you toward external validation rather than internal fulfillment.

But when you take the time to truly understand your own motivations, you take back control. You stop chasing things just because someone told you to, and you start making decisions that are right for you.

Self-Awareness is the Key to Change

The real power comes when you not only recognize your patterns but also accept them without judgment. This isn’t about beating yourself up for past choices, it’s about learning from them. You are where you are today because of a combination of your own decisions and outside influences. That’s not a bad thing. It’s just reality.

The good news? You get to decide where you go next. If you want to make a change, it should be because you want it, not because someone else told you to. Whether it’s improving your health, shifting your mindset, or adjusting your daily habits, the choice is yours.

You Already Have What You Need

I firmly believe that you already have everything inside you to make these changes. My role isn’t to tell you what to do, it’s to help you uncover what already exists within you. The tools I share, whether through my podcast, blog, or coaching, are here to guide you along the process.

I know what it’s like to struggle with body image and self-esteem. I know what it feels like to think you’re not enough. That’s why I don’t believe in quick fixes or one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, I want to help you develop an approach that fits you.

When you take the time to understand yourself ”really understand yourself” you start building a life that aligns with your values. That’s where real progress happens. 💪🏻🦥
