"You’re Too Salesy" — Here’s Why I’m Okay With That
It’s something I’ve heard more than once: “You’re too salesy.” At first, it stung. No one likes being labeled like that, especially when you’re pouring your heart and soul into something. But the truth is, I’ve come to embrace it, because behind every offer, every resource, and every system I create, there’s a deep purpose.
Here’s the thing—I see a real need, not just in the fitness industry but in life overall. People are struggling with self-acceptance, self-love, and self-confidence. They don’t need another “quick fix” program or a guilt-laden lecture about their lifestyle choices. What they need is a genuine way to cultivate these qualities within themselves and reinforce them daily.
I know this because I’ve been there. For most of my life, I tried to fit in. I wanted to be part of the crowd, to blend in seamlessly. But it never quite worked out for me. It always felt like forcing a puzzle piece into the wrong spot—close, but not quite. So ten years ago, I took a chance on myself.
I started Your Level Fitness from the ground up. In an industry that often values appearance over qualifications, I was determined to prove my worth. And let me tell you, the fitness world wasn’t exactly welcoming. Even though I was more qualified than many in the space, I had to fight for every bit of ground I gained. I pushed on, not because it was easy, but because I believed in the work I was doing.
For years, YLF was a side hustle. I balanced it with building a career as a marketer—corporate jobs, agency work, freelancing, consulting for small businesses—you name it, I did it. Those experiences gave me a well-rounded skill set and a perspective that’s invaluable in what I do today.
Then, in 2024, I made the decision to go all in. The world was changing, and I realized it was time for me to fully invest in myself and the people I wanted to help. This is my moment. I believe in my abilities, my vision, and the amazing people I’ve connected with along the way.
So yes, I’ll own it—I want you to buy from me. And not because I’m just trying to sell you something. It’s because YLF is me. It’s my story, my passion, my purpose. Every resource, every podcast episode, every system I create comes from a place of wanting to help people see themselves in a new light.
You deserve to feel confident. You deserve to love yourself. You deserve to live a life that’s aligned with who you truly are—not who the world tells you to be.
If you’ve made it this far, thank you for sticking with me. I appreciate your time and attention more than you know. If you’re curious about what I’ve been working on and where all of this is headed, check out the podcast episode I mentioned in my story.
And if you’re ready to take the next step, I’d love for you to join The YLF Experience. This is more than a program—it’s a way to embrace your journey and build the confidence, self-acceptance, and tools you need to thrive.
