Hey there. I say it often, but it’s something I always come back to…your life is your responsibility. That might sound like pressure at first, but it’s actually the most freeing mindset shift you can make. Because if your life is your responsibility, it means you are the one in control. And while that doesn’t mean you control everything, it means you always have the power to take action in the direction you want to go.
This idea is the foundation of what I teach with the Your Level Fitness message. Whether it’s weight loss, fitness, mindset, or building habits, it all starts with taking ownership. Not the type of ownership that weighs you down. The kind that reminds you that your life is yours. You’re not on someone else’s timeline. You don’t need to follow someone else’s plan. You get to build your own path.
That’s why I talk about things like the “Your Name Eating Plan” and the “Your Name Workout Routine.” These aren’t just catchphrases. They’re reminders that your journey is unique. You’re the architect. You’re the one designing this. And the inside/out approach is about learning how to build a life that reflects you from the inside first.
I’m not here to tell you that you’ll never feel stuck again. There will be days when it feels like everything is out of your control. You’ll feel like you’re back on the struggle bus. But when that happens, you can remind yourself of this. You can take a breath, refocus, and come back to what is within your control. That’s where your power is.
And here’s something else I’ve learned. A lot of the time, the things we think are out of our control actually aren’t. Maybe not entirely, but we have more influence over them than we believed. And the things that are truly out of our hands… they tend to work themselves out or they simply don’t need our energy.
So wherever you are in your journey, know this. You’re not behind. You’re not broken. You’re not stuck. You’re just on your path. And if you take ownership of that path, you can shape it into something that aligns with who you are and who you want to become.
If this message hits home, I’d love for you to take the next step. Let’s build something sustainable together. Join one of the Your Level Fitness programs today.
