Patience is the Key to Everything

Hey there. We all want results, and we want them fast. Whether it's weight loss, career success, or anything else we’re working toward, patience is rarely something we embrace. We want things when we want them, exactly how we picture them, and preferably on demand. But reality doesn’t work like that, and when it comes to health and fitness, impatience is the biggest obstacle to success.

Why We Struggle with Patience

Right now, we live in a world of instant gratification. We can order food, stream entertainment, and get nearly anything delivered in a day or two. We’re conditioned to expect things quickly, so when something takes time—like weight loss—it feels frustrating. Then, to make it worse, social media bombards us with jaw-dropping transformations and quick-fix promises. Everywhere we look, we see messages about losing weight in 30 days or getting shredded in six weeks.

But that’s not how lasting results happen.

Blocking Out the Noise

If you want to develop patience, you need to block out everything that pushes you to rush the process. The biggest thing? Stop comparing yourself to others. The moment you see someone else’s progress, your brain immediately compares it to your own. Instead of celebrating what they’ve done, you start thinking, “I should be further along” or “I need to speed things up.”

That mindset doesn’t help. Instead, focus on what you’re doing today. Stick to your plan, take small steps forward, and trust that progress is happening, even when you can’t see it yet.

Using Daily Actions to Stay Grounded

One of the best ways to stay patient is by tracking your own progress. Not in a way that makes you obsessive, but in a way that reminds you how far you’ve come.

✅ Set minimum daily action goals that are small but achievable.
✅ Track how often you exceed those goals instead of focusing on perfection.
✅ Look at your progress over time, not just in the last week or two.

When you get impatient, review what you’ve already accomplished. Seeing what you’ve done will remind you that progress is happening, even if it’s slower than you want.

Patience Saves You Time and Money

The fitness and weight loss industry makes billions convincing people they need to speed things up. But if you develop patience, you don’t need to buy into the quick fixes. You can just focus on what works for you, at a pace that makes sense for your life.
