As the trainer in your ear, I’m telling you that life is happening in real time. You don’t have time to sit still, overthink, or drown in guilt. You’ve got decisions to make, lessons to learn, and progress to chase.
When it comes to weight loss, it’s all about the choices. You’re choosing what to eat, what to drink, when to work out, when to rest, when to take a break, and when to push forward. All of those choices add up over time. But here’s the truth—there’s no point in dwelling on any one of them.
You’ve got to be honest with yourself, yes. But you also have to keep moving. Don’t get stuck in your head. Everyone gets frustrated. Everyone feels guilty. Everyone wonders if they’re doing enough. You’re not alone in that. The difference is what you do next.
You have to train yourself to acknowledge how you feel without letting those feelings stop your momentum. This is a skill. And like any skill, it takes time to build. Most people will never get to the level of consistency they want because they’re too focused on the past or trying to predict the future. You just need to stay grounded in now.
Start where you are. Look at the choices you’re making. Adjust if needed. Then keep going. You’ve already made it through some really hard stuff. Stuff that most people don’t even know about. So give yourself credit for that. Seriously, give yourself a little hug if you need to. You deserve it.
