Hey there. The one goal that continues to guide me in fitness and in life is simple. I just try to be a little bit better. That’s it. And when I say that, I don’t mean you have to improve every single day without fail. Some days you move forward. Some days feel like repeats. Others might feel like you’re sliding backward. But overall, the goal is progress.
What I’ve learned is that being a little bit better comes from having clear, focused actions that I aim to complete every day. That’s where minimum daily actions come in. These aren’t big flashy challenges or impossible expectations. These are the small, doable things I know I can show up for most days. Drinking enough water. Getting in my workouts. Tracking my food. Things like that.
And instead of expecting to be perfect seven days a week, I aim to hit my weekly goals at least four times. That gives me cushion. Some weeks I’ll go beyond that. Others I’ll do less. But I keep showing up. I evaluate what’s working and what’s not. Then I adjust. It’s all about consistency and patience.
The biggest challenge is not the action itself. It’s getting past the comparison trap. It’s easy to look at someone else’s progress and feel like I’m not doing enough. But the truth is, their path isn’t mine. I have to stay focused on my own process. My goals. My life.
And when I do that, something cool happens. I start to enjoy the routine. I stop stressing over the scale or how fast things are moving. I focus on what I can control. I focus on becoming just a little bit better.
This is the mindset I help others build inside The YLF Experience. It’s not about perfection. It’s about consistency. It’s about creating habits that support your goals and learning how to adjust when life gets in the way.
You don’t have to overhaul your life. You don’t have to keep up with anyone else. Just aim to be a little bit better than you were yesterday, last week, or last month. You’ve got this.
