Hey there. There’s a phrase I’ve been thinking a lot about lately. You are what you create. It sounds simple, but it really gets to the heart of how we live day-to-day. If you're not happy with where you are or how you're feeling, it's time to take a closer look at your habits, your environment, and your actions.
Sure, you can try to change everything all at once. A full overhaul might sound exciting, and sometimes it works. But in most cases, it becomes overwhelming and eventually falls apart. Life has a way of throwing distractions and challenges at us when we least expect it. That’s why I believe in making one or two meaningful changes at a time. Rooted change sticks.
We all have responsibilities and circumstances that we can’t just drop. So this isn’t about completely cutting out everything or everyone that doesn’t align. It’s about focusing on what you can add that creates positive momentum. It’s about layering the good stuff in slowly so it becomes part of who you are.
The people you spend time with and the content you consume matter. But consuming content without doing anything with it is like filling your head with ideas and letting them go to waste. I spent years like that. I read all the books. Listened to all the podcasts. Watched all the videos. I felt like I was doing something just by consuming. But I wasn’t actually creating anything. I wasn’t applying any of it.
That’s why I encourage you to take the next step. Start creating something. Make it your own. Maybe it’s a blog or a podcast or a private YouTube channel. Maybe it’s journaling or writing music. Just something that documents your process. Something that reflects who you are and how you’re growing.
This isn’t about building an audience. It’s about building yourself. It’s about making sure your voice doesn’t get lost in a sea of scrolling. When you have something of your own, you’re building confidence. You’re making progress. You’re showing yourself what you’re capable of.
So here’s the challenge. Look at your day-to-day. Look at the people around you. Look at what you’re consuming. And then ask yourself… what are you actually creating?
