Hey there. There’s something about Sundays that just feels like a fresh start. For me, Sundays are less about winding down and more about gearing up. It’s the best day of the week to prep for the week ahead and set the tone for how I want things to go. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that having a plan makes all the difference.
Every Sunday, I take time to think through my food choices. Am I prepping meals? Stocking the fridge? Ordering groceries? I don’t need to do all of it, but I need to have something ready so I’m not winging it every single day. When my food is prepped, or at least planned, I make better choices. Simple as that.
Then I move into movement. I think about what my minimum daily action is around exercise. How many days this week am I committing to a workout? What does that look like? Some weeks it’s three sessions, other weeks it might be four or five. But I always make sure it’s realistic and doable. The point isn’t perfection, it’s consistency. I aim for a little something every day, but I make peace with the fact that not every day will look the same.
I do this same check-in with water, sleep, stress management, and everything else tied to my health. I pick one or two areas to focus on, because trying to overhaul everything all at once just doesn’t work. Over time, these small goals turn into habits. And those habits turn into routines. Before I know it, fitness starts to feel automatic.
And that’s the goal, right? When life throws curveballs, I want to be able to adjust and keep moving. That flexibility only comes when I’ve already laid the groundwork. That’s why Sunday prep isn’t just a task, it’s a ritual.
So I want to know… what’s your Sunday prep look like? How are you setting yourself up for the week ahead? If you’re one of my PN folks, what’s your ritual? Send me a message, shoot me a text, or reach out through social. I’d love to hear what’s working for you.
