Social Media Is Fueling Your Body Noise
If you constantly feel like your body is not enough, social media is probably reinforcing that feeling more than you realize.
Every day you are exposed to transformation photos, edited images, fitness influencers, beauty standards, comparison culture and nonstop messaging telling you how your body should look.
That creates body noise.
The difficult part is that much of this happens automatically. You scroll, compare, evaluate yourself and move on without even realizing how much mental bandwidth it is taking from you.
Then eventually, you feel exhausted.
You start monitoring your appearance more. You look in mirrors more often. You analyze yourself more closely. You wonder how other people perceive you. This is why your environment matters.
Your social media feed becomes part of your environment, and your environment reinforces your identity and your thoughts.
That does not mean you have to completely avoid social media but it does mean you need to become aware of what is increasing your body noise.
The goal is not perfection. The goal is creating a calmer relationship with yourself instead of constantly putting your appearance under a microscope.
