Hey there. One of the most important things I’ve learned over the years is that we all have more control than we think. If you have a smartphone, you have access to almost everything you need to influence your mindset, your energy, and your daily routine. The choice is yours. Always has been.
Want to feel more focused and motivated? You can create a playlist that gets you moving. You can subscribe to podcasts that fuel your goals. You can follow people on social media who inspire you, make you laugh, and encourage you to be better. You can even cut out the noise that drains your energy. All of this is within your power.
One thing I always recommend is finding two or three people you truly look up to. Not just people who are in the same process, but individuals who have the energy and mindset you want to emulate. These people have likely built their own circles filled with the right kind of energy, and being around that helps pull you up too. Eventually, you’ll be that person for someone else without even realizing it.
You don’t need to spend money to do this either. There are amazing podcasts, YouTube channels, and books available for free or through your local library. I love using our local library system to reserve new releases. I also stream a ton of YouTube now that we have Roku at the house. I subscribe to creators I vibe with, and I follow people I know who are documenting their own journeys. That energy rubs off.
It’s not about perfection. This isn’t some motivational fluff telling you to think positive and everything will magically work out. This is about choosing your inputs with intention. The people, the music, the shows, the books, the posts... it all adds up. You can design your environment to support you.
If you're struggling to stay consistent with fitness, mindset, or life in general, start by looking at what and who you're allowing into your space. Then make some adjustments. Over time, your self-awareness will grow. You’ll see the ripple effect in how you talk to yourself, how you show up for others, and how much better you feel about your day-to-day.
