Hey there. If you’ve ever hesitated to put yourself out there—whether it’s starting a blog, sharing a post, or creating a video—you’re not alone. The fear of not being good enough holds a lot of people back. But here’s the truth: most people aren’t paying as much attention to your content as you think.
Most People Won’t Even Notice
This might sound harsh, but it’s actually freeing. When you post something, most people will scroll right past it. They won’t stop to analyze every detail. They won’t judge you the way you think they will. Nine out of ten people won’t even register what you shared. And that’s okay.
This means you don’t need to overthink every single thing you post. You don’t need to stress about making it perfect. Instead, focus on the one person who will see it and find value in it.
Helping One Person is Enough
A lot of content creators get caught up in trying to appeal to the masses. But the reality is, you’re not making content for everyone. You’re making it for someone—that one person who needed to hear what you had to say.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve second-guessed something I was about to post, only to put it out there and get a message from someone saying, “I really needed this today.” That’s all it takes. If your content helps, inspires, or entertains just one person, it’s worth it.
First Takes Are Good Enough
Most of what I create—whether it’s video, audio, or written content—is done in one take. I don’t over-edit or overthink. I just put it out there. Sure, I’ve done retakes before, but the majority of what I share is raw, real, and unpolished. And guess what? It still resonates with people.
So if you’re hesitating because you think your content isn’t perfect, post it anyway. You’ll be surprised by how much value people can get from something you almost didn’t share.
Ignore the Fear and Create Anyway
Most people will either ignore your content or react positively to it. There aren’t as many trolls out there as you think. And even if someone doesn’t like what you post, who cares? It wasn’t for them.
So stop waiting for perfection. Stop holding back. Your story, your message, and your perspective matter. Put it out there. Someone needs to hear it.
