Stop Chasing Validation and Start Trusting Yourself

Hey there. At some point, you’ll stop chasing external motivation and validation. When you’re ready, you’ll turn inward, where your true drive resides. It’s a powerful shift.

Here’s the thing: for much of our lives, we follow someone else’s path, living out the dreams others have for us. While it can teach us valuable lessons, it often disconnects us from our own desires. Maybe you’ve experienced this, following advice, rules, or expectations only to find they aren’t meant for you.

But here’s the good news: you’re never behind. You just haven’t fully trusted yourself yet.

When you begin trusting yourself, everything changes. Your experiences whether they involve fitness, relationships, or personal growth become tools to help you find your way. You’re not in competition with anyone, not even yourself. Life isn’t about winning or losing; it’s about figuring out who you are and taking the next step forward.

Learning From the Wrong Path

Sometimes, the only way to learn what works for you is by following the wrong path. It’s not failure, it’s discovery. Each misstep teaches you more about what you value and what aligns with your goals. The trick is not staying stuck in regret. Instead, reflect, pivot, and trust yourself to move forward.

The Inside-Out Approach

This shift from seeking approval to finding clarity within is at the heart of what I call the inside-out approach. When you’re connected with yourself, life becomes easier to navigate. The noise of outside expectations fades. It’s not that you stop learning from others but you no longer need their validation.

It’s also not about rushing. Moving at a deliberate pace gives you the time and space to make decisions aligned with your values. Trusting yourself doesn’t mean having all the answers. It means believing in your ability to figure things out as you go.

Owning Your Path

Not everyone will understand your journey, and that’s okay. Some may judge, and others might offer advice that doesn’t resonate. But if you’re truly happy with your path, whether it’s the one you chose or the one laid out for you…it’s yours to own.

If you’re still figuring things out, that’s fine too. Life is about evolution and growth. Just remember, your best path forward isn’t out there—it’s inside you.
