Where’s the best place for listeners to connect with you?: Instagram

Describe your weight loss journey.: Been overweight my entire life. Highest weight ever was back in 2011 when I weighted in at 357. Lost 100lbs on my own and over the years gained and loss until my final attempt back in 2021. After that I ballooned back up to 307. That’s when I decided to put my pride aside and schedule the surgery. So far I’ve lost 90lbs in 4.5 months. I workout 6-7 per week. Body building and orange theory workouts.

What’s a skill you developed as a result of working through your weight loss process?: the skill of knowing what a true 100% effort looks like. Before I thought I was giving 100% but it was actually 40%. Now I know what going ALL THE WAY really feels like and nots pretty, it’s not a magical montage scene from the movies. It’s painful, it’s ugly, its exhausting.

What has that skill led to outside of weight loss?: I’ve reevaluated other Areas of my life, looking for areas that I have struggled in and assessed am I really giving 100% like I thought.

What advice would you give to someone working through their weight loss journey?: Take charge of your journey. Get yourself a team. Surround yourself with task, jobs, and friends that keep you active. I have a nutritionist, a body building coach, orange theory membership, a power lifting friend, and another buddy who likes to workout who all keep me going and accountable. My workout buddies look to me for inspiration and my coaches hold me accountable

What's something most people don't know about you that has nothing to do with weight loss?: I’m a grown man obsessed with mermaids. I blame Darryl Hannah and the movie splash. I’ve been hooked ever since.
