Describe your weight loss journey.: Started back in 2009. My ultimate goal used to revolve around getting the number on my scale as low as humanly possible… at any cost. Had this idea that being as small/light as possible would be the key to ultimate health/happiness. I was so very wrong. Fast forward about 13 years my goals currently revolve around optimizing my mental/physical health every single day & enjoying the journey because I’m in it for the long haul. I’m currently only like 10lbs lighter today than I was at the beginning of my journey back in 2009. I’ve been all over the board in terms of weight… but the evolving body composition tells a whole other story

What’s a skill you developed as a result of working through your weight loss process?: Trusting myself. I’m my best advocate!!

What has that skill led to outside of weight loss?: Having more confidence in all things I choose to partake in professionally and personally.

What advice would you give to someone working through their weight loss journey?: Don’t try to do it all at once… that’s a fast track to failure. But also, don’t be scared to fail!! The most successful people had to learn how to fail, first. Fail forward! Learn. Adapt. Grow. And make time for things that make you happy. Life is way too short.

What's something most people don't know about you that has nothing to do with weight loss?: I love American Sign Language!! Almost made it my career
